Bedminster Township is pleased to offer our Park Bench Donation Program to remember a loved one or honor someone's special achievement. Your bench will enhance the aesthetic and landscape value of our community for all to enjoy while preserving the legacy of a family member or friend.
The Township has selected attractive benches made of recycled plastic lumber that are durable, environmentally friendly and easy to maintain. Benches will be installed at designated locations along the Township's hike & bike trail and parks. Donation may be eligible for charitable receipts for income tax purposes. Please consult your tax advisor.
Program Guidelines:
- The donation per bench is $1,000 (subject to annual review). The price includes the cost of the bench, shipping, installation and engraving up to 30 characters. Additional characters may require additional fees.
- Commercial advertising is not permitted.
- Park benches will be ordered upon receipt of your donation. Donors will be notified of the date of installation.
- To commemorate your gift, you will receive a certificate identifying the honoree.
- Bedminster Township has the sole responsibility for the care and maintenance of the park bench once installed. The Township respectfully requests that no flowers, wreaths, pictures, etc. be placed at the site.
- Bedminster Township assumes the responsibility for vandalism of the park bench. Maintenance and repairs will be performed by the Township as needed.
