Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the Township Clerk/Administrator of the Township of Bedminster in the County of Somerset, State of New Jersey, at the Office of the Township Clerk/Administrator, located in the Municipal Building at 1 Miller Lane, Bedminster, New Jersey 07921 on Thursday August 30, 2018 at 10:00 am, prevailing time, and at that time and place publicly opened and read for the:


The work to be performed includes the furnishing of all labor, materials and equipment necessary to complete the work as shown on the drawings and described in the specifications. The work to be performed under this contract includes the installation of approximately 6,450 square yards of milling; 90 linear feet of HDPE storm pipe and associated storm structures; 250 square yards of pavement repair; 340 linear feet of granite block curb; 900 tons of HMA surface course; 4,270 linear feet of striping and other incidental work. Alternate bid will also be received for approximately 245 linear feet of HDPE storm pipe and associated storm structures and other incidental work.

Plans and specifications and proposal forms are on file and open to public inspection at the Municipal Building and may be obtained at the office of the Township Engineer at 180 Main Street, Chester, New Jersey, (908) 879-6209, between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, prevailing time, Monday through Friday, excluding legal holidays, upon payment of $45.00, payable to Ferriero Engineering, Inc., said sum not refundable, beginning on Monday August 13, 2018.

Each bid must be made on the prescribed forms furnished with the Contract Drawings and Specifications, including Non-collusion Affidavit, and must be accompanied by a Consent of Surety and a Certified Check, Cashier's Check or Bid Bond of not less than ten (10%) percent of the amount bid, and not to exceed $20,000.00. Bids may be submitted by mail, but will be considered only if received on or before such date and time.

The Township will not assume responsibility for bids forwarded through the mail if lost in transit at any time before bid opening. No bids will be received after the time set forth above.
Bidders are advised that New Jersey Department of Transportation Local Aid funding will be utilized on this project. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of PL 1975, c.127 (NJAC 17:27), and PL 1977, c.33. Bidders are required to comply with the New Jersey Business Registration Certificate Law, P.L. 2004, c.57. Bidders are required to comply with the Public Works Contractor Registration Act, P.L. 199, c.238

The Township reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive minor defects and immaterial informalities, and/or to accept the bid which, in the opinion of the Township, will be in the best interest of the Township, all in accordance with the New Jersey Public Contract Law N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et. seq.
