  • Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the November 2020 General Election will be conducted primarily via vote-by-mail ballots, which will be sent to all active registered voters on or about October 5th.  All ballots will have prepaid return postage.
  • Deadline for Voter Registration is October 13th, 2020.  
  • No Sample Ballots for the 2020 General Election.  Instead, Voters will receive notification of:  (1) polling place location, (2) secure ballot drop box locations, and (3) information about how to obtain or view a sample ballot.  This information will be mailed to active registered voters October 23rd.
  • Return Vote-By-Mail ballots:  (1) by mail (postmarked by 11/03/2020), (2) by depositing in secure drop boxes located throughout Somerset County (by 8 pm on 11/02/2020), and (3) by handing directly to a poll workers at a polling place on Election Day (ID required).
  • Polling Places - All New Jersey counties must ensure that at least 50% of their total polling places are open with each Municipality required to open at least one in-person polling site.  To find your polling place visit Somerset County Polling Locations.
  • Provisional Ballots - Any voter who appears at a polling place on the day of the November General Election and does not return a voted mail-in ballot, shall vote by paper provisional ballot.  Individuals with disabilities will have access to an ADA accessible voting machine.

The Bedminster Township Municipal Clerk serves as the Chief Election Official for the Township, and follows the procedures of the State and County Boards of Elections as prescribed by Statute.  The Clerk provides:

  • Oversees the operation of any declared municipal election
