Chief Craig Meyer

Chief Meyer fought a courageous battle against cancer and remained active until his death.  Chief Meyer began his career in 1995 as a Special Class II Officer.  Chief Meyer held the position of Patrol Officer, Detective, Detective Sergeant, Detective Lieutenant prior to being named Chief in May 2014.  Chief “ METAL” Meyer was an active member of Somerset County SWAT.  Chief Meyer received a plethora of achievement awards throughout his 21 year career.

Sergeant AlTerek Patterson

Sergeant Patterson fought a courageous battle against COVID-19 and unexpectedly passed away.  He graduated from the Somerset County Police Academy Recruit Class 35-05 in December 2005 and began his career as a police officer on January 1, 2006.  He was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in October 2014.  Sergeant Patterson always had a smile on his face and touched the lives of so many residents at their time of need.
