Finance:
The Finance Department is responsible for the receipt, disbursement and accounting of all municipal funds including grants, indebtedness and investments, in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey. The department maintains the required records, ledgers, accounts receivable and accounts payable for the Township, as well as accompanying general ledgers, payroll, and coordination of benefits.
The Finance Department also manages several township funds including the Open Space Trust Fund, Recreation Trust Account, Affordable Housing Trust Fund, Construction Trust Account, Animal Trust Account, Sewer Accounts and the Length of Service Award Program (LOSAP) for members of the Far Hills-Bedminster Fire Department, Pottersville Fire Company and the Far Hills-Bedminster First Aid Squad.
Purchasing:
The Purchasing Department is responsible for the procurement of goods and services for the Township in accordance with existing laws and ordinances. Bids, requests for proposals (RFP) or quotes (RFQ) are processed through the department and purchase orders are created, approved, signed and distributed. Public bids and competitive proposals are listed on the Township website as well as in the local newspaper as mandated by law.
